About the Role:
As an Associate Manager, you will take the lead in investigating potentially illegal or suspicious activity across Coinbase’s global products. You will play a crucial role in supporting our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorism Financing (CTF) programs by conducting in-depth reviews and providing expert analysis on complex cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead investigations into international complex cases, identifying intelligence-led workstreams.
• Review and investigate suspicious activity flagged by Transaction Monitoring Systems (TMS).
• Prepare Suspicious Transaction/Activity Reports for senior management and submission to Financial Intelligence Units.
• Manage time-sensitive case reviews and perform quality control checks.
• Train team members and assist in process gap analysis.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and external stakeholders for suspicious activity reporting.
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and process improvements as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• 6-8+ years of AML/CTF experience in financial services, fintech, law enforcement, or related fields.
• Strong project management experience, including training, process updates, and system enhancements.
• Previous leadership or line management experience.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex issues.
• Proven ability to analyze large datasets and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a remote setting.

Nice to Haves:

• Professional compliance certification (LCOI, ICA, ACAMS).
• Experience with virtual currencies and blockchain analytics tools.
• Familiarity with QC/QA processes and metrics reporting.
