Compliance Manager, Consumer Protection

We’re seeking a Compliance Professional with expertise in consumer protection to join Coinbase Ireland and report to the Head of Compliance. This role spans three Irish entities: a regulated E-Money Institution and two Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs). Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary advocate for consumer rights and interests.
• Identify and mitigate risks in Coinbase Ireland’s products and services.
• Conduct regular compliance reviews of products and services to align with consumer protection laws.
• Ensure vulnerable customers receive appropriate care under regulatory standards.
• Oversee and resolve customer complaints promptly and fairly while analyzing trends to address recurring issues.
• Provide consumer protection metrics to the Head of Compliance and governance forums.
• Manage and update consumer protection policies, ensuring alignment with Irish and international regulations.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance program for consumer protection.
• Stay informed on regulatory changes and integrate updates into company policies.
• Deliver training programs to raise awareness of consumer protection and foster a compliance-focused culture.

What We’re Looking For

• 6+ years of experience in Compliance or risk management.
• Strong knowledge of consumer protection regulations and industry best practices.
• Exceptional attention to detail and analytical skills for interpreting complex policies.
• Clear and effective communication, both written and verbal.
• Collaborative mindset and openness to team input.
• Proven organizational and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• High ethical standards and commitment to integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

• Compliance certification (e.g., ICA, ACAMS).
• Experience managing regulatory reporting and governance forums.
• Expertise in building and leading compliance programs.
