Financial Controller, EMEA - Blockchain

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely records of all financial transactions
• Responsible for financial reporting for regulatory and compliance
• Maintain P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, identify and research any large variances
• Review and approve invoices for payment and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations
• Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely filing of returns
• Support in any financial statement audits required for your entities under remit
• Assist with establishing internal controls procedures and processes
• Perform ad-hoc projects

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
• 5+ years experience in accounting
• Preference for prior experience in crypto, fintech, or start-up environments
• Ability to prioritize efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly changing and competing demands.
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, UK/EU GAAP, US GAAP)
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, Trovata, FloQast)
• Interest in the crypto industry and awareness of the changes occurring in global regulations
