We’re seeking a passionate, experienced leader to oversee our second-line security teams across EMEA, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements while fostering our innovative culture. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of regional regulations, excellent relationship management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams to meet EMEA needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and guide EMEA’s second-line security team, providing strategic direction and operational support.
  • Ensure effective implementation of security policies, standards, and controls to meet regional regulations, including GDPR and local legislation.
  • Foster innovation, agility, and continuous improvement within the security teams.
  • Maintain strong relationships with regulatory bodies, industry groups, and country leadership across EMEA.
  • Collaborate with US-based teams to ensure global security practices meet EMEA requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional programs focusing on compliance, regulation, and audit.
  • Ensure timely resolution of issues by proactively managing risks and communicating progress.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years in information security, risk management, or compliance, with significant leadership experience in EMEA.
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA cybersecurity and data protection regulations (e.g., SCA, GDPR, ISO 27001).
  • Proven relationship-building skills with country leadership and regulators.
  • Strong strategic, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
  • Experience managing third-party providers and outsourcing.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience in technology or fintech companies, ideally within the crypto industry.
  • Advanced knowledge of cloud computing, Google apps, JIRA, Confluence.
  • Certifications such as CRISC, CISM, or CISA.
