About the Role: 

As the Lead Designer for the Coinbase Developer Platform, you'll manage a team of 3-5 product designers, creating tools to empower developers to build blockchain applications for billions of users. Our customers range from crypto-first startups to financial institutions joining crypto. Working closely with Product and Engineering, you’ll drive the design vision for seamless, user-centered products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a design team focused on developer experience
• Oversee product decisions, strategic planning, and team resource allocation
• Mentor and support team growth, setting creative direction across web and mobile products
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape and execute product vision

Requirements:

• 3+ years leading a design team, particularly for developer-focused products
• Experience recruiting and mentoring designers, setting UX and visual design standards
• Skilled in Figma, prototyping tools, and conducting user research
• Passion for crypto, with a collaborative, low-ego approach to teamwork

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with Web3, programming experience, or crypto-forward experience (e.g., Ethereum, dApps)

Pay Transparency Notice: The target salary for this remote position ranges from $236,725–$278,500 USD, with potential bonuses, equity, and benefits. Final compensation will be confirmed during the hiring process.
