Job Purpose

The Head of People, reporting to the People Director, will enhance Copper’s positive workplace environment and support growth by managing HR operations, collaborating with senior leaders, and fostering a productive culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Guide and support the HR team, promote collaboration, and ensure professional development.
• HR Operations: Oversee employee relations, compliance, payroll, and records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Onboarding: Partner with Talent Acquisition to deliver a seamless onboarding experience.
• Employee Engagement: Champion Copper’s culture, implement engagement initiatives, and address workplace issues.
• Performance Management: Align performance processes with company goals and support training.
• Compensation & Benefits: Administer competitive compensation and benefits; conduct market analysis.
• HR Analytics: Use metrics to inform decisions, identify trends, and recommend improvements.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• 5+ years in HR, with 2+ in leadership, preferably in a regulated financial environment.
• Strong understanding of European/UK employment laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and MS Office.

Desirable

• HR qualifications, global HR experience, and succession planning expertise.
