Responsibilities

• Develop and execute audit strategies targeting key business risks, including Virtual Asset Service Providers (VASPs).
• Conduct periodic independent risk assessments of the Audit Universe.
• Independently deliver approved audit assignments using global audit methodologies.
• Assess the design and operational effectiveness of controls mitigating business risks.
• Recommend control environment enhancements based on identified weaknesses and regulatory expectations.
• Support data sampling for risk-based analytics.
• Participate in peer and quality assurance reviews to uphold audit standards.
• Monitor, track, and validate management actions.
• Provide ad hoc reporting on audit program status, management actions, and control observations.
• Apply expertise in risk categories from a third-line of defense perspective.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an analytical discipline.
• Proven experience in compliance, risk management, or auditing; Big 4 background is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of prudential regulatory frameworks in major European jurisdictions is a plus.
• Team player with the ability to work independently and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and data reporting skills.
• Experience with regulatory consent orders and navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
• Prior exposure to the crypto/digital asset industry is desirable.
• Solid understanding of key risks and controls in an exchange business.
