Senior Backend Engineer (L2) - Flashbots

Flashbots is a research and development organization tackling Maximal Extractable Value (MEV) challenges in crypto. Our mission is to illuminate, democratize, and distribute value on decentralized blockchains.

The Role

We’re seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with expertise in distributed systems to help scale and enhance our products, including SUAVE and SUAPPS. You'll work on cutting-edge technology, balancing latency, privacy, and fault tolerance, while collaborating with top industry researchers.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and scale Flashbots products.
• Maintain and improve protocol services and developer tools.
• Write well-tested code and technical documentation.
• Partner with leading crypto projects and engage with the community.

Who You Are

• 4–10 years of experience in production systems (Rust or Go).
• Strong background in distributed systems.
• Proven contributions to open-source blockchain projects, preferably Ethereum.
• Proactive problem solver, effective communicator, and team player.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience with Ethereum, Geth, Solidity, or blockchain infrastructure.
• Contributions to open-source projects or protocol specifications.
