The Role
Data Science drives Coinbase’s product and decision-making processes. Collaborating with Product, Engineering, and Design, you’ll deliver insights, conduct rigorous analyses, and influence strategies that impact the company’s bottom line.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze ambiguous business problems, producing actionable insights.
• Manage data pipelines and visualizations, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
• Lead code reviews and maintain robust ETL jobs using SQL and Python.
• Uphold high statistical standards for experiments and causal analyses.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, CS, etc.) with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 3+ years of experience.
• Proven ability to execute impactful data science projects and synthesize findings into compelling narratives.
• Expertise in SQL, Python, and complex modeling for business problems.
• Experience with digital products and iterative development cycles.
• Alignment with Coinbase’s values: clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and efficient execution.

Compensation

• Pay Range: $175,100—$206,000 USD annually
• Includes target bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401(k)).
