Software Engineer, Frontend (Onchain)

In Developer Experience (DevX), we enhance productivity and engagement for engineers by providing the tools and infrastructure needed for building high-quality applications. The Onchain Pod focuses on developing the next-generation developer experience for onchain developers within Coinbase and the broader crypto ecosystem.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the Onchain Pod, defining its vision, mission, and roadmap.
• Build and maintain UI libraries, tooling, and systems to support and scale the onchain platform.
• Automate and maintain blockchain infrastructure with Kubernetes and cloud services.
• Research and prototype innovative solutions to improve blockchain client efficiency and scalability.
• Contribute to open-source projects like Geth and Optimism.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong React and React Native skills.
• Knowledge of semantic HTML and ARIA.
• Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., screen readers, voice dictation).

Nice to Haves:

• Experience in core UI systems or infrastructure development.
• Contributions to open-source crypto projects.
• Familiarity with tools like Golang, Geth, Foundry, Solidity, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS, GCP).
• Crypto-forward experience, including working with Ethereum, ENS, and dApps.

Salary Range: $147,000–$174,000 USD, plus target bonus, equity, and benefits.
