Your Role
As Litigation Counsel, you will:
- Manage a diverse docket of commercial litigation and provide strategic counsel across various practice areas.
- Lead Coinbase’s global litigation strategy, offering proactive solutions and thought leadership.
- Handle disputes from inception to resolution, including investigations, settlements, and litigation when necessary.
- Draft and file pleadings, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Collaborate with and manage outside counsel for efficient, high-quality representation.
- Work closely with cross-functional legal teams, contributing to Coinbase’s overall mission.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking candidates who are:
- Experienced: At least 8 years of litigation experience, including courtroom exposure and managing complex commercial cases.
- Crypto-Savvy: Familiar with litigation involving digital assets, financial services, and crypto regulations.
- Skilled Communicators: Possess strong negotiation, writing, and analytical skills with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
- Team Players: Collaborative and willing to take on tasks, big or small, while remaining detail-oriented and organized.
- Quick Learners: Capable of mastering new legal areas with agility.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in consumer litigation, class actions, employment law, trade secrets, or privacy disputes.
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of a U.S. state bar in good standing.

Pay Transparency: Depending on location, the target annual salary ranges from $218,450 to $257,000 USD, with additional equity, bonuses, and comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, and 401(k)).
