About the Role
As a Staff Platform Engineer, you’ll enhance the developer experience by building tools, automating workflows, and improving system reliability. You’ll drive technical excellence, mentor engineers, and shape the future of Shakepay’s engineering culture.

What You’ll Do

• Lead initiatives to improve developer productivity and reliability.
• Architect and implement tools for CI/CD, automation, and infrastructure scalability.
• Improve developer workflows and key engineering metrics (DORA, reliability).
• Mentor engineers and enhance technical culture.
• Participate in and refine the on-call process.

Who You Are

• 8+ years of experience in Developer Experience, Platform, or DevOps roles.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD, GitOps, IaC, and developer tooling.
• Experience improving engineering velocity through automation and best practices.
• Skilled in backend services, build systems, and infrastructure.
• Familiarity with incident management and operational excellence.

Bonus Points

• Experience with Kubernetes, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, PostgreSQL, and Node.js.
• Background in FinTech or Bitcoin.
• Passion for documentation and knowledge sharing.
