Role Overview

• Safeguard Shakepay’s digital assets, infrastructure, and customer data.
• Develop and implement security measures, protocols, and strategies.
• Report to the Head of Security.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement security solutions balancing security, UX, and growth.
• Act as a security expert and mentor across multiple domains.
• Manage security processes, services, and vendors.
• Lead threat modeling for current and new systems.
• Maintain and improve the Zero Trust environment.
• Automate alert responses and participate in on-call rotations.
• Support compliance efforts (SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI, etc.).

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security (Enterprise, Operational, Incident Response, Offensive, GRC, Product).
• 5+ years in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Strong programming skills for automation.
• Excellent communication and ownership mindset.
• Experience in regulated environments (preferably startups).

Bonus Points

• Software development experience.
• Knowledge of Bitcoin and cryptography.
• Experience with Git (GitHub preferred).
