Role Overview
As a Payments Risk Analyst, you’ll analyze data to manage fraud at scale, working to ensure a secure, risk-adjusted payment experience for card and digital wallet transactions worldwide. Collaborate with analysts, product managers, engineers, and data scientists to deliver impactful solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and report on fraud, chargebacks, and abuse metrics.
- Conduct audits to ensure data quality and fraud monitoring coverage.
- Analyze fraud events and recommend remediation strategies.
- Develop rules to counteract fraud rings and identify product gaps.
- Drive projects that enhance fraud management and business outcomes.
- Partner with stakeholders to implement end-to-end fraud strategies.
Qualifications
- Required:
- 2+ years combating fraud and chargebacks in e-commerce.
- 1+ year experience with data analysis and querying large datasets.
- Functional knowledge of card payments, chargeback lifecycles, and fraud vectors.
- Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau) for creating actionable insights.
- Strong decision-making under tight deadlines.
- Preferred:
- Experience with Python, statistical modeling, machine learning, or blockchain analytics.
- 1+ year in risk analytics within a rapid-growth environment.
Compensation
Annual salary: $131,325–$154,500 USD (varies by location). Includes target bonus, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
