Product Counsel - Stellar

The Stellar Development Foundation (SDF) is hiring a proactive attorney to provide product counsel for on-chain wallet products, payment tools, and infrastructure, supporting our legal, engineering, and product teams. You’ll advise on digital wallets, payments, compliance, and regulatory matters, working with both in-house and external experts in a dynamic, fast-growing blockchain environment.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering on new wallet features, payment tools, and infrastructure.
• Draft terms, privacy policies, and legal disclosures.
• Advise on regulatory issues, including money transmission laws and compliance requirements.
• Work with policy teams on regulatory developments and manage outside counsel as needed.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally in fintech or crypto.
• Strong communication and risk assessment skills.
• J.D. and U.S. state bar membership required.

Preferred Experience: Experience with digital assets, money transmission laws, and smart contracts is a plus.
