Senior Data Engineer - Zap

About Us

Zap is on a mission to create the top on-chain trading super-app, integrating alpha discovery and 1-click trading for crypto traders. With backing from Bain Crypto, Delphi Digital, and Jump Crypto, we aim to be the social layer for web3 traders.

Role

As a Data Engineer at Zap in Athens, Greece, you’ll work on back-end technologies, data infrastructure, social graphs, and real-time data processing. This in-person role suits candidates with a strong background in SQL, data infrastructure, and handling diverse data types in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Data Architecture: Design scalable, secure data systems.
• Social Graphs: Develop projects related to social network analysis.
• Data Pipelines: Build pipelines using data from APIs, CSV, JSON, etc.
• Web Scraping: Create and maintain tools to extract data.

Requirements

Must-Have

• 3-7 years of data engineering experience
• 3+ years of SQL/NoSQL proficiency
• Fluent English communication skills

Nice-to-Have

• Start-up experience
• Web stack knowledge
• Serverless architecture expertise
