Role: Senior Legal Counsel

As Senior Legal Counsel, you will drive Bitpanda’s growth by providing expert legal guidance on regulatory matters for crypto assets and financial instruments (derivatives, certificates, CFDs). Your responsibilities include:

• Leading legal efforts for financial products across multiple jurisdictions, with emphasis on EU regulations (MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2).
• Drafting and negotiating complex commercial and financial agreements.
• Advising on regulatory developments, licensing, and product offerings.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure regulatory compliance for new products.
• Supporting business development by identifying risks and crafting mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

• Law degree (Austria/Germany) with expertise in financial regulatory and commercial law.
• 5+ years of experience in financial regulatory matters, ideally with regulated institutions.
• Proficiency in German and English.
• Strong EU regulatory knowledge, especially MiCAR, MiFID II, PSD2, and AML.
• Proven leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
