About the Role
We are hiring a Software Engineer for our Backend Platform team within the Orchestration and Processing pod. This team plays a critical role in Coinbase’s operations, managing the background jobs that power trading, fund transfers, and more. You’ll work on building reliable, scalable, fault-tolerant job orchestration tools that simplify complexity for teams across Coinbase.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain and enhance Coinbase’s background job orchestration tools.
• Ensure seamless execution of critical processes like trading and fund transactions.
• Operate and optimize Temporal and internal job services.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency with job processing frameworks.
• Ability to write high-quality, well-tested code.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Familiarity with crypto-related tools like Ethereum, ENS, and dApps.
• Experience with Temporal or Cadence frameworks.

Compensation and Commitment to Diversity:

• Annual Salary: $185,500 (includes target bonus, equity, and benefits).
