About the Role
The Platform Product Group builds and maintains trusted, scalable, and compliant platforms critical to Coinbase’s operations. As part of the Staking Infrastructure team, you’ll manage Kubernetes and related infrastructure supporting Coinbase’s validator operations. This role involves supporting staking services, automating Kubernetes management, and collaborating with teams to operationalize and scale our systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop robust support for staking validator workloads on Coinbase infrastructure.
• Manage GCP/AWS infrastructure for internal and external staking validators.
• Automate and enhance Kubernetes cluster management and developer experience.
• Ensure platforms are self-healing and operationally efficient.
• Partner with teams to support critical staking services on Kubernetes.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with Kubernetes or similar orchestration systems.
• Strong AWS/GCP infrastructure expertise.
• Proven ability to build backend services and scale infrastructure.
• Self-starter with strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
• Experience balancing business needs with technical solutions.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with crypto-related technologies (e.g., Ethereum, dApps, onchain activity).

Pay and Benefits

• Location: Canada
• Annual Salary: $185,500 + target bonus, equity, and benefits.
