Staff Software Engineer – Test Experience (Remote)

The Platform Product Group creates trusted, scalable, and compliant platforms critical to Coinbase's success, including Identity, Payments, Machine Learning, and Infrastructure. Within this group, the Developer Experience team aims to make Coinbase the best place for developers to rapidly build and ship high-quality products.
As a Staff Software Engineer on the Test Experience team, you’ll develop solutions to improve code quality and reduce regressions across Coinbase’s diverse products (web, mobile, backend).
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and iteration of testing solutions based on customer feedback.
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and leadership to address testing challenges and define a strategic roadmap.
- Drive technical decisions, ensuring high-quality code and engineering processes.
- Own team processes and services, maintaining SLA standards.
- Mentor team members and foster a culture of excellence.
Requirements
- 8+ years of software engineering experience.
- Strong commitment to high-quality code and effective engineering processes.
- Proven ability to execute in ambiguous situations and deliver impactful results.
- Deep empathy for developers as primary stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated success in implementing large-scale initiatives that improve the status quo.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Developer Experience/Productivity, Platform, or similar domains.
- Background in high-growth, fast-paced environments.
