At Coinbase, our mission is to increase global economic freedom. We’re looking for a highly motivated Tax Controllership Intern to join our team for a 12-week internship in summer 2025. The ideal candidate will have a passion for crypto, blockchain, and the financial system, with a desire to learn and grow in a high-paced, dynamic environment.

Role Overview: You will support our tax controllership and compliance team, assisting with tax provisioning, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, internal audits, and ad-hoc financial analysis. You’ll gain hands-on experience in maintaining compliance and ensuring efficient tax structures in a growing technology company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in tax provisioning and financial reporting.
• Support balance sheet reconciliations and schedules.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and procedures.
• Document processes and assist with audits.
• Provide support for special projects and analyses.

Requirements:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• Detail-oriented and process-driven.
• Team player with a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have:

• Pursuing a degree in accounting or related field.
• Familiarity with US GAAP, IFRS, or crypto assets.

Compensation: $30 per hour, with additional benefits for full-time offers.
