Role Overview
We are seeking a Director of Technology Risk to lead our global technology and security risk management program. Reporting to the Technology Risk leadership team, you will define risk frameworks, assess and communicate risks, and influence business decisions. This role requires collaboration across global teams, a deep understanding of risk management methodologies, and the ability to embed scalable processes into a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the second-line technology and security risk team, driving a comprehensive risk management framework.
- Collaborate with technical leaders to identify, quantify, and report risks effectively.
- Build and mentor a team of risk analysts, fostering agility and innovation.
- Oversee risk assessments, policy implementation, and risk monitoring processes.
- Align the risk program with international regulations, emerging threats, and industry benchmarks.
- Partner with Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) and operational risk teams to ensure consistent oversight.
- Develop communication plans to roll out the security risk program and provide ongoing education.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of relevant experience in technology or information security risk, with 8+ years in leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27005, FAIR) and the risk management lifecycle.
- Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.
- Experience embedding risk management practices and interacting with regulators.
- Proficiency in leveraging data for decision-making and building scalable, automated solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud services and tools like Google Apps, JIRA, and Confluence.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in fintech, financial services, or crypto industries.
- Advanced technical education (e.g., Master’s degree).
- Certifications like CRISC, CISM, or CISA.
- Quantitative modeling and data visualization expertise.
Compensation
Annual salary: $267,325—$314,500 USD (includes bonus, equity, and benefits).
