Lead Security Analyst

As part of the Security team supporting our Institutional business, you will manage core security processes, collaborate with engineers to enhance product security, and ensure seamless user experiences. You’ll also be responsible for evaluating operational processes, conducting data analysis, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the information security program for EMEA entities.
• Operate and improve security processes supporting Coinbase products.
• Evaluate data to assess the effectiveness of security initiatives.
• Design policy and risk management documentation.
• Implement regulatory requirements as entities expand.

Requirements:

• Expertise in designing and improving operational processes at scale.
• Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including at the executive level.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Technical understanding of backend engineering architectures.
• Experience with SQL (Snowflake preferred).
• A continuous learning mindset to stay ahead of emerging threats.

Preferred:

• Experience with Looker or similar business intelligence platforms.
• Knowledge of security practices in regulated industries.
• Familiarity with cryptography, key management, or multi-party computation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
