Senior Software Engineer, Backend (Institutional - Exchange)

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer passionate about crypto and blockchain, ready to tackle our toughest challenges and help build a leading Exchange platform for high-speed, low-latency trading.

Role Summary: 

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Institutional Product Group’s Exchange team, you’ll develop the core tech driving our trading systems, focusing on scalable, low-latency solutions using Java, Golang, and modern cloud tech. Working alongside skilled engineers and product managers, you’ll design robust systems that empower our institutional clients to trade efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build high-performance services to meet product and business needs
• Design scalable, low-latency systems using best practices in cloud tech
• Enhance trading systems for robustness and scalability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve technical vision
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested code

Requirements:

• 5+ years in backend engineering (Java, Golang, or similar)
• Experience with high-volume, low-latency services
• Skilled in solving impactful, ambiguous problems
• Passionate about open financial systems

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with trading systems, distributed systems, event-driven architecture
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, blockchain, and microservices
• Knowledge of crypto-forward concepts, such as onchain transactions

Compensation: Annual salary range: $180,625—$212,000 USD (includes target bonus and benefits)
