Software Engineer, Backend (Trust and Loyalty)

Coinbase is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Trust & Loyalty team, focused on building products for high net worth individuals (HNWI). This role will collaborate closely with the Coinbase One (CB1) team to create a premium membership offering with benefits such as zero trading fees and priority support.

Key responsibilities include:

• Decomposing a monolithic Rails app into microservices
• Developing long-term strategies for maintaining and scaling backend systems
• Working with cross-functional teams to deliver product and technical roadmaps
• Writing high-quality, well-tested code

Ideal candidates should have:

• 2+ years of software engineering experience
• Experience building, scaling, and maintaining production services
• A passion for creating an open financial system
• Bonus: Experience with rapid company growth, blockchain technologies, microservices, Golang, Ruby, Docker, and financial or security systems
