Our Platform Product Group builds and maintains critical platforms at Coinbase. We’re looking for a staff software engineer to join the Customer Experience CB-GPT Team, working on a groundbreaking AI platform that democratizes access to language models. You will shape the future of AI interactions by developing scalable systems using modern cloud technology.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and develop platforms for all LLM use-cases at Coinbase.
  • Collaborate with teams, management, and stakeholders to define roadmaps.
  • Lead projects, set priorities, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Write high-quality, well-tested code, and debug complex technical problems.
  • Build services using Golang to meet business needs.
  • Design scalable systems and integrate with 3rd party vendors.
  • Ensure security, scale, and operational integrity of designs.

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • Expertise in building and maintaining production services with service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience mentoring junior engineers and fostering high-quality code standards.
  • Strong technical skills in system design, coding, and cloud technologies.
  • Passionate about building an open financial system and strong communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in rapid company growth (from startup to mid-size).
  • Familiarity with Golang, Docker, Postgres, MongoDB, DynamoDB.
  • Experience in AI/LLM models.
